It’s a Lush Affair

My senses completely surrender when I walk past a Lush store – from the cocktail of scents to the dazzle of glitter, I am completely captivated by the place. I always find myself leaving with something; whether it's a small purchase consisting of one whole pot of lip scrub or a bulk buy of lotions and potions.

(As you can tell by this photo - I use these products A LOT!)

I heard about this body conditioner through a friend and of course needing no encouragement to trial a Lush product; I swiftly made my way to the next Lush store and treated myself.

I think what the biggest selling point of this conditioning cream, for me, is the intoxicating rose fragrance. I love that the scent stays on me, treating me to little hints of rose throughout the day. I love indulging myself in Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner as it leaves my skin feeling super smooth and moisturized. I simply spread it all over my body whilst in the shower, leave on for a few minutes, and then rinse off – just like hair conditioner.

Key ingredients

Argan Oil

Rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants, Argon Oil moisturizes, repairs and deeply nourishes the skin. This fabulous ingredient is also known to contribute to anti-ageing, which for me is just the cherry on the cake!

Rose Absolute

Rose Absolute is a popular ingredient within Lush products, and I’m not surprised it is used so often. The scent of Rose Absolute is said to lift your mood, which is just what the doctor ordered on a miserable Monday morning. This ingredient is used by aroma therapists across the world and is frequently referred to as medicine for the skin.

Goji Berry Juice

There are plenty of reasons why this miracle berry makes the grade as a ‘super food’. Goji berries are renowned for boosting the immune system and brain activity, whilst protecting against heart disease and cancer. See what I mean by miracle berry?

Cupuacu Butter

Bursting with good fatty acids – Cupuacu Butter moisturizes and conditions the skin. The butter comes from the Cupuacu fruits that are wild harvested and is interestingly sometimes used in white chocolate.

£16.50/225g

This gentle exfoliator can be used on wet or dry skin; sometimes used on hair to add shine. I am yet to try this – I will keep you posted! Featuring sea salt and lemon juice to leave skin feeling and looking energized and fresh, I turn to Rub, Rub, Rub at least once a week.

Key ingredients

Fine Sea Salt

This key ingredient means you don’t have to trek to the beach on a cold winter’s morning to get that rejuvenation and hydration we all crave for our skin.

Mimosa Absolute

Another aroma therapist’s go-to tonic; used to remedy anxiety and encourage tranquility, Mimosa Absolute’s primary function is to rid skin of grime and dirt.

Fresh Organic Lemon Juice

When Rub Rub Rub is used on the hair; this ingredient is answerable to the shine and sleekness delivered. Lemon juice also cleanses and rejuvenates the surface of the skin.

£8.95/330g
