I always love perusing The Body Shop, isn’t it just a treasure chest of skincare dreams? The smell of the place alone could draw me in from a mile away. With so many collections to choose from, I find myself spoilt for choice and invariably leaving with some kind of purchase. Let’s be honest, the guys who work there really do have an easy sell on their hands!

If like me, you’re super conscious of appearing tired and withdrawn in the morning and you like to start the day looking and feeling as radiant and fresh faced as possible; these two products will definitely help you along the way.

I have been around the block when it comes to daily moisturisers; from Clinique to Clarins and Simple to Sanctuary but the Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream is the favourite that has stood the test of time. My second choice would be the Clarins HydraQuench cream for normal to dry skin, which delivers the same results but at a steeper price of £35.00 per 50ml (always one I add to the Christmas list!)

This moisturiser sits within The Body Shop’s ever-loved Vitamin E skincare range which is specifically designed to protect skin against pollution, UV damage and premature ageing – what more could I ask for? If, like me your skin type is normal to dry, then this light best-selling moisturiser is perfect for you, with its moisturising and hydrating properties delivered by nourishing Vitamin E.

This daily cream always leaves my face feeling and looking healthy and hydrated and what’s even more is that due to it’s lightweight texture, allowing it to easily absorb into my skin, I can apply my make up directly on top without worrying about clogging up my pores.

One of my main hang-ups is the puffy eyes I am subjected to after not having enjoyed my full eight hours sleep. I almost brace myself for people asking how my five rounds with Mike Tyson went, but still, I’ve always done what I can to keep the puffiness at bay.

Having tried all kinds of cooling eye gels, from Clarins to Garnier, The Body Shop’s Elderflower Unperformed Eye Gel made it’s way into my hands, completely by accident; it came as a freebie within an order I received from The Body Shop. A chance meeting that ended in a life-long partnership. Elderflower acts as the cooling agent within this eye gel, ensuring the area surrounding my eyes feels firm and refreshed after each use.

£7.50 per 15ml pot

I’m desperate to try out The Body Shop’s new Oils of Life range; has anyone tried it yet? Please let me know what you think if so! I’m obsessed with indulging my face and body in oil-enriched products; I love how intensely revitalised and hydrated they leave my skin feeling.

This particular range from The Body Shop contains three precious seed oils; black cumin seed oil delivering a concentration of antioxidants, camellia seed oil rich in nutritive oleic acid and rosehip seed oil bursting with omega 3 and 6. It’s no wonder Facialist and Body Care Expert Vanda Serrador is such an advocate, praising the range and ‘their rich and supreme nutrients’ that ‘provide all you need for healthy looking and radiant skin’.

There are four skincare products within the collection; the facial oil, cream, bi-phase essence lotion and gel cream. I think I’m going to have to treat myself to the facial oil – to start with anyway! I’ll keep you updated on my endeavours, watch this space…
