It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas is my most favourite time...and not solely because of the visit from the big fella with the beard. It’s a time to relax, be merry, eat copious amounts of naughty treats and indulge loved ones with carefully thought through gifts.

Playing around with new beauty and skincare products is such a treat for me; I could spend the whole day, every day, exfoliating, moisturizing and grooming! Having had a little peruse of all the beauty and skincare products out there at the moment, I have collated a super dreamy Christmas wish list of treats – all based on an out of reach limitless budget of course!

Make Up

  • Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – I’m already a huge advocate of this product as it really is beautifully creamy and hydrating; mostly I find that concealers can be quite dry and can end up seeping into all the hidden cracks in the skin, but not with this gem! I also love that just a little goes a long way and the coverage lasts all day. £22

  • Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick Powder, Pastel Peach– How beautiful are the shades in this compact? I love make up that gives me a bronzed glow – I find that a touch of shimmer always makes the skin look healthy and nourished, which is a bonus to the promised illusion of high cheek bones! £34

  • Bobbi Brown Finishing Powder, Bronze Glow – Another treat from Mr Brown! This is an all-over powder, which once applied promises to illuminate the skin, delivering a fresh, healthy glow. Smoother, healthier looking skin here I come! £42

  • Mac Matte Lipstick – I LOVE Mac lipsticks, especially of the matte variety! There are so many rich and playful shades to choose from and I find that the colour lasts for hours before I need to re-apply. I have quite a Mac lipstick collection, which I am always excited to expand! £15.50

  • Dr Paw Paw Tinted Ultimate Red Balm – This multi-functional balm is a steal at £6.95. so many healing qualities neatly compacted into one tube of brilliance. If you were to ask me what one make up product I would take with me to a deserted island, it would have to be lip balm; I don’t go anywhere without it! And tinted lip balm? Well that’s just spoiling me. £6.95

Skincare

  • Kiehls’ Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque – I have never used Kiehl products before but I’m definitely keen to try having heard only praise of the brand. Having a weakness for products that deeply moisturise and hydrate skin, this definitely seems like a suitable contender within my wish list, claiming to instantly boost skin’s ability to absorb and hold moisture for long lasting hydration’. £28/125ml

  • Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask – Introducing another (slightly more dear) overnight hydrating mask. From what I have read, this overnight mask and the Keihl overnight mask both strive to deeply hydrate the skin and protect from dehydration. I’m torn between the two; help! £30/100ml

  • Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream – I am desperate to sample the new Oils of Life range from the Body Shop. The range of products boasts an infusion of three precious seed oils that revitalise and repair the skin; Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile. This intensely silky cream claims to ‘revitalise skin, replenish moisture and revive radiance’. The cream also contains anti-ageing and smoothing properties. At £25 per pot of cream, I will make sure I'm not too liberal with the amount I use. £25/50ml

Lush – Because of course Lush needs a list of its own

  • Festive Bath Bombs – Okay, so I don’t enjoy taking baths and don’t suppose I ever will…but if I WAS partial to a bath, I know I would definitely be decorating my tub with the gorgeously fun and festive Lush bath bombs! From a Dashing Santa and Father Christmas to Stardust and a Snow Angel; these bath treats look good enough to eat. From £3.95

  • Rose Jam Shower Gel – A blend of rose and vanilla…match made in Heaven, no? While nourishing argon oil indulges skin in deep hydration, the Sicilian lemon and goji berry juices cleanses and brightens. It also smells dvine which of course is always a must with shower gels. £9.75/250g

  • Cranberry Face Mask – I have heard great things about Lush face masks and I feel it’s time to see what all the fuss is about! I don’t know about you but my skin definitely feels a little dryer and more taut during the winter time and it seems as though this particular face mask is the perfect solution to my woes; leaving skin ‘luxuriously soft’. It’s certainly won me over... £6.75/75g

  • Solid Body Tint, Black Stockings – As mentioned earlier, I love products that leave my skin glowing and shimmering and this body tint looks like it could be a new firm favourite of mine. I love the fact that it contains bronzing ingredients; especially at this time of year, when fake tan is my saviour. The bar also contains cocoa and shea butter which moisturise the skin, leaving it glowing with a light shimmer. Cannot wait to try this product! £7.95/30g
